How I Became a PirateSeptember 14, 2010 - October 10, 2010Tuesday - Friday at 10 amSaturday & Sunday at 2:30 pmTheatre in the SquareBring all your little pirates to see the tale of young Jeremy Jacobs and Captain Braid Beard; adapted from the beloved children's book by Melinda Long & illustrated by David Shannon. Jeremy's mother is too distracted to examine his sand castles, but a motley group of silly pirates take notice of his exceptional digging skills. With promises of a new life at sea, they recruit him for treasure burying. Jeremy adores the pirates' lack of table manners and opposition to vegetables, so he thinks the pirate life is for him until no one tucks him in at night or reads him stories. Audience interaction and witty songs are part of this adventure on the high seas. Learn to talk like a pirate! Great fun for kids of all ages.
